Rare in color and stunning in detail with hand-embroidery, this vintage huipil (traditional Mayan blouse) is originally from Patzún, Guatemala. This particular region of Guatemala is known for their floral embroidery design around the neckline as well as the red vertical stripes, symbolizing the blood of their Mayan ancestors. This is why this one in particular is a precious treasure because it is not the traditional in color. This top has a white panel background with multi-color stripes; a rare find from this particular Maya village!
It features hand embroidered flowers underneath the collar on both the front and back in a variety of colors; typical of this region. The base of this top is a Dark Emerald Green, stunning!
This particular huipil is a ‘poncho’ style blouse that is normally worn tucked in or cinched in by a thick belt. This particular square huipil has not been sewn up on either side, making it ideal to wear over a tank top.

Thank you for such a high-quality handmade huipil! Feels like a personal treasure in this world of corporate/factory made products.
I love the hoodie. It is soft and the embroidery is wonderful. This is my second order from Tesoros Maya. Both times I experienced an unusual attention to detail. When the packages arrived, they were like gifts. There were hand written notes and surprises. I will definitely order again.
The pictures on the website do not do this product justice. In person the hair wrap has so many beautiful details. The colors are vibrant and it is long enough for those with long, medium or short hair. Simple instructions are provided but I am excited to learn the different ways to use it in my hair. I have already been inspired to wear this as a necklace and belt. I can't wait to get more!
Loved it. Wish there was another choice w brighter colors but this one is great.
Very well made. Cute idea
