By purchasing a Tesoros Maya scarf, you will be directly supporting the artistry and the work of two amazing ladies: Anita and Maria, two sisters and master weavers from San Juan La Laguna, Guatemala. Your purchases will allow them the opportunity to preserve their cultural knowledge of natural dyes & ancient weaving techniques, and will provide them with additional income to support their children & community!
Guatemalan artisans use locally sourced plants and herbs to create dye baths that they apply to cotton or rayon threads. They use a banana tree trunk solution to fix the color and help stabilize the dye, ensuring the color will never run.

Thank you for such a high-quality handmade huipil! Feels like a personal treasure in this world of corporate/factory made products.
I love the hoodie. It is soft and the embroidery is wonderful. This is my second order from Tesoros Maya. Both times I experienced an unusual attention to detail. When the packages arrived, they were like gifts. There were hand written notes and surprises. I will definitely order again.
The pictures on the website do not do this product justice. In person the hair wrap has so many beautiful details. The colors are vibrant and it is long enough for those with long, medium or short hair. Simple instructions are provided but I am excited to learn the different ways to use it in my hair. I have already been inspired to wear this as a necklace and belt. I can't wait to get more!
Loved it. Wish there was another choice w brighter colors but this one is great.
Very well made. Cute idea
