This gorgeous NEWLY woven Huipil top is from the village of San Juan La Laguna, Guatemala on the shores of Lake Atitlan.

This huipil is beautiful with its simple but elegant Deep Red color as a base. It is woven on a medium weight cotton blend red background with white stripes. The collar is decorated with the tradition rings radiating from the opening and the square of squares on both the front and back.

This particular huipil is opened on both sides, making it a ‘poncho’ style blouse that is normally worn tucked in or cinched in by a thick belt. This particular square huipil has not been sewn up on either side, making it ideal to wear over a tank top.

Stunning wearable art!
