This unique white Guatemalan Huipil features geometric tight designs brocade and abstract Mayan shapes. Hand-woven on a back-strap loom, this 100% cotton Huipil is originally from the region of San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala.

This top was hand woven on a back strap loom in three well-matched Plum base panels. The panels are decorated by supplementary brocade featuring geometric patterns in pastel colors. 

When you buy a Huipil, you are truly wearing Guatemalan history and an one-of-a-kind, masterpiece.

  • This Top runs Large & SHORT
  • Bust (armpit to armpit) -32” inches wide
  • Length - 20” inches long
  • Neck Opening: The opening of the neck has been tailored opened to fit a wider head and for more comfortable fit.
  • 100% Cotton - soft 
  • Condition: Great pre-loved condition with a some loose threads and wear; adding a special touch of character to this stunning  blouse. This top is even on both front and back. 
  • This vintage Huipil was personally purchased by Angelica, founder of Tesoros Maya. This Huipil was ethically sourced and the artisan was paid fair price.

CARE:

  • This Huipil was 100% handmade from beginning to end; therefore naturally there will be some imperfections. You could see some loose threads, DO NOT pull just snip with scissors.
  • For a better care, we recommend hand wash
  • Dry flat

Beautiful textile

Beautiful textile made from natural cotton. A true artist made this Huipil, and I’m proud to wear it. I gotten compliments when I wore it for the first time. Even my husband said it was unique and looked good.
