This cute coin purse has been handcrafted in Guatemala from a traditional Guatemalan blouse (HUIPIL). To the knowledgeable observer, a huipil (wee-peel) identifies a woman's village, social and marital status, religious background, wealth, and individual personality.

This adorable coin pouch was made using vintage damaged or left over material from a Huipil. It has been repurposed into these beautiful one of a kind piece. As such you may find natural characteristics and qualities that are common to the handmade process.
